Terms of use

Last updated 9 October 2026

These terms cover your use of ari, a personal agent that carries out tasks for you over messages. By using ari you agree to them. They're written to be read, so please do.

A private beta

ari is in a private beta and available by invitation. Features will change, and the service may sometimes be slow or unavailable. We may end access to the beta at any time, and will give you notice when we can.

What ari does for you

ari plans and carries out the tasks you give it, using its own browser, its own email address and any accounts you choose to connect. Before it sends a message, makes a booking, pays for something or posts anything on your behalf, it asks you and waits for your approval.

Your part

  • Check what ari proposes before you approve it. An approval is your decision, and you're responsible for the actions you approve.
  • Only connect accounts and add logins that are yours, or that you're allowed to use.
  • Keep your phone and messaging accounts secure, since anyone who can message ari as you can direct it.
  • Follow the rules of the sites and services you ask ari to use.

What ari won't be used for

Don't ask ari to do anything illegal, to harm or harass anyone, to send spam, to get into accounts or systems you're not allowed to access, or to get around a site's security measures. ari may refuse a task, and we may suspend access if it's being misused.

No guarantees

ari is an AI agent, and it can make mistakes. It can misread a page, miss an option or get a detail wrong. It's provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Check anything important, especially prices, dates and anything involving money, before you approve it.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from actions you approved, from third-party sites and services, or from interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Third-party services

The sites and services ari uses for you, including messaging apps, Google and the websites it visits, have their own terms. ari doesn't control them and isn't responsible for them.

Your data

What you share with ari stays yours. How it's handled is set out in the privacy policy.

Stopping

You can stop using ari at any time and ask for your data to be deleted. We may end or suspend your access if these terms are broken.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and ari will let you know about anything significant. If you keep using ari after that, the new terms apply.
