ari is a personal agent. It uses what you share with it to do the jobs you ask for, and for nothing else. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and your data is never sold.
This website
textari.tech sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site, so visiting it doesn't send your details to anyone else.
Like any web server, ours sees your IP address and browser type when you load a page. We use that only to keep the site running and secure.
What ari keeps when you use it
- Your messages and files. What you write to ari and anything you send it, such as photos, PDFs and spreadsheets.
- Your tasks. What you asked for, the steps ari took, the pages it visited and screenshots of its own browser while it worked.
- Memory. Preferences and facts you tell ari, or that it learns while helping you, so you don't have to repeat yourself.
- Logins you choose to add. Kept in an encrypted vault. ari fills them into sites itself and never shows them in the chat.
- Connected accounts. If you connect Google, ari keeps an encrypted access token so it can read and, with your approval, act in Gmail, Calendar, Drive or Contacts.
- Email. Messages ari sends and receives at its own address while working for you.
Why
To carry out the tasks you give ari, to keep you updated, and to keep the service secure. That's the agreement between us when you use ari. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling or selling.
Who helps run ari
ari relies on a small number of service providers. Each one gets only what it needs for its part of the job:
- AI model providers receive the text, files and screenshots needed to plan a task and write replies.
- Messaging services deliver messages between you and ari over iMessage and RCS.
- Google, only if you connect your account.
- A cloud hosting provider runs the computer ari works on and stores its data.
When ari visits a website for you, that site sees what any visitor would see, plus whatever you approve ari to submit there.
How long it's kept
Your data is kept while you use ari. Ask us to delete it and we will within 30 days. Backups roll over every 14 days, so deleted data leaves them soon after.
Security
Connections to ari are encrypted. Logins and account tokens are encrypted at rest with a key that is kept apart from the data and never shown to AI models. Access to the server is limited to the people who run ari.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop using it, or ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere. Write to ari@textari.tech. If you're in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
ari isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the change matters to how your data is used, ari will tell you first.
